Stewardship
The theme of this year’s Stewardship campaign is “Giving in Gratitude; Thanking and Trusting in God.” Thank you to all who have turned in a pledge to Grace for next year! For your convenience, online pledge cards are available here. There is space included where you may identify new ways where you would like to get involved in our life, ministry, and fellowship.
December 19: The Longest Night Worship Service
Join us at 6:30 pm in the chapel for a special service of music and reflection where we lift up the heaviness of our hearts during this season of joy.
December 22: Open House Coffee Hour
Plan to join us this Sunday before worship in the Palmer Room from 8:30 – 9:50 am. There will be special treats, delicious nibbles, party-punch and good friends to celebrate the beginning of Christmas week. We know that it’s early, but it will be fantastic if you are there! Bring a friend, or two!
December 24: Christmas Eve Worship at Grace
Grace offers two Christmas Eve worship services. Be sure to invite family & friends to join the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Bring your family and friends to experience the wonder at the 5:00 pm family service in the sanctuary. This special Family Pageant is hosted by our children and young people.
Join us at 9:00 pm in the sanctuary for a musical prelude before our Candlelight Service begins at 9:30 pm.
Our church’s $3.1 million renovation project, which is creating accessible, safe and attractive spaces for our next generation and will enhance our role in the local community, is on track, on budget and on schedule!
Construction Highlights
Phase One got underway on June 10 with extensive demolition in the downstairs rooms. The work over the summer has included a top-to-bottom redo and resizing of the Palmer Room kitchen, a major electrical upgrade, installation of big pieces of a new HVAC system that includes new pipes and heating/cooling equipment in each of the lower-level rooms and the second-level nursery school rooms.
Delran Builders and the church’s construction team have been working together to maintain the work schedule, iron out issues and look ahead to next steps.
We expect to finish Phase One by mid-October. This phase encompasses all the rooms on the ground floor of the building except for Muyskens Hall and the adjacent kitchen. Those two large spaces are the focus of Phase Two. We are expecting to finish modernizing those spaces and complete the entire project by December 31.
Project Funding
We are grateful to those who have donated to this ambitious campaign. Please know that it is not too late to support this project. Unforeseen expenses do arise as we open walls and ceilings in this elegant, old building, and each dollar counts.
A matching grant was awarded to the church in October 2022. While we await the funds from this $1.54 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant, our grant and campaign teams have been working on the necessary paperwork requirements.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the church office.
